Svartalvheim studios and Joes Garage studio in Hungary nailed it on this one because the bass and drums blast right on with the first track “the night train” and set the pace for all twelve official tracks.
Duel vibrant heavy guitars, bass with pick-ups, drive, and clarity from hell and a kick-drum that blasts and pushes life into the lungs that vocalist Ken The MAC McLellan projects all-so-well.
The lyrics are on-top it for sure and speak to the true working class that live everyday life with the all the ups and downs. I’ve been a supporter of Ken Mclellans work since Brutal Attacks “Valiant Heart” was released and its great to hear a record that pulls me thru once again.
Sweet covers of Generation X “English Dream” and Skrewdrivers “Free my land”.
Hey you! And “where angels fear to tread“ are originals that tear it up. Drop D? Nice...
Guest female vocals from Timea on “last stop on the circle line” which is interesting.
All in all pretty kick ass record to start 2020 with and my first record review in years.
I bought this record from Askania Label and mail order. Produced by Loyalty Records. Vinyl and CD formats available.
Thanks Geezer Pete for the info on where to buy this record and thanks Ken and company for another kick ass album.
Heard it on a Longines Symphonette solid-state and XL-M401.
Till next round ~
